Is this a real diamond?

Yes. Chemically, physically, and optically identical to a diamond mined from the earth. The only difference is the source of the carbon — yours came from someone you loved.

How is a lab-grown diamond different from a mined one?

Mined diamonds form over millions of years deep in the earth. Lab-grown diamonds use the same chemistry — carbon under extreme heat and pressure — only the process is compressed into weeks. The end result is structurally and visually identical. They can't be distinguished from a mined diamond without specialised equipment.

Will my diamond be certified?

Yes. Every Endura diamond at 0.25ct and above is independently certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI). Your certificate travels with the diamond and is yours forever.

What sizes and colours can you make?

Sizes from 0.25ct to 1.5ct+. Six colour options: colourless, yellow, blue, green, red, and black. Each shaped by small adjustments during the growth process. Rare colours (red, green) carry a small premium — see our pricing page for details.

The material

How much material do you need?

For ashes: roughly half a cup, or about 80g. For hair or fur: 5–10g, about the volume of a 50-cent coin when gathered. We always ask for slightly more than required as a safety margin, and we always return what we don't use.

What if I don't have enough ashes?

Hair or fur works just as well, including a clipping kept in a locket decades ago. If you're unsure what you have or whether it's enough, get in touch — we'll guide you through it before you commit to anything.

Can I use hair from someone still living?

Yes. We've made diamonds for people while they were still alive — to honour a parent, a grandparent, a partner. Hair contains all the carbon we need.

Will I get the unused material back?

Always. Whatever remains is returned to you in a sealed keepsake vessel alongside your finished diamond. We never retain, dispose of, or repurpose unused material.

What pets can you make diamonds for?

Any species. Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, reptiles. If they were family, they qualify.

The process

How long does it actually take?

Most diamonds are completed in 8–12 weeks from the day we receive your material. Larger diamonds (1ct+) and rare colours may take up to 14 weeks. We'll give you a specific timeline once you've chosen your size and colour.

Will I see updates along the way?

Yes — at every step. We send milestone emails with photos when your material is received, when carbon extraction completes, when growth begins and finishes, when cutting and polishing finish, and when your diamond ships. You're never in the dark.

Can I visit the lab?

Not at launch. We work with an international lab partner. Lab visits may become available in future — sign up to our newsletter to be notified.

What if I change my mind?

Before your material has been processed, you can pause or cancel at any time and we'll return everything in full. After processing has begun, your material is committed to the diamond — but you can still adjust size, colour, or cut up until the growth phase begins.

Pricing & payment

Are your prices final?

Yes. Every price on our pricing page is GST-inclusive and final. The only additions are specialty cut premiums (heart, princess, asscher) and rare colour premiums — both published openly. No surprises at checkout.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Through our finance partner, you can split the cost over 6, 12, or 24 months. There are no late fees if you pay early, and no impact on your diamond's timeline. Final terms are confirmed at checkout, subject to credit approval.

When do I pay?

A 30% deposit is taken when you confirm your diamond's specifications (after we've received your material). The balance is due before your diamond ships.

What if the diamond is lost or damaged later?

Real diamonds are among the hardest materials on Earth — they don't break easily. If something does happen, we can re-cut from saved material in some cases. We strongly recommend insuring your diamond once it arrives.

Do you ship internationally?

We're focused on Australia at launch. International orders may be possible on a case-by-case basis — contact us to discuss.

Is the kit really free?

Yes. The Welcome Kit is free, posted anywhere in Australia, with no payment required and no commitment. We don't want cost to be the reason someone doesn't take the first step.

Will you call me if I order a kit?

No. We send a confirmation email when you order, and we'll send your kit. After that, we don't follow up unless you reach out to us. You take the next step when you're ready.
